
MICHIGAN — Detroit-area narcotics detectives arrested a convicted felon following a drug investigation in Westland that led to the seizure of fentanyl, methamphetamine, cash and a firearm, according to Michigan State Police.
Authorities said detectives with the Metro Narcotics Enforcement Team began investigating the suspected drug trafficker on May 7.
During a search warrant at the suspect’s Westland residence, investigators said they recovered 128 grams of fentanyl, more than an ounce of crystal methamphetamine, 481 suboxone strips and one firearm.
Police also seized more than $10,000 in cash and assets intended for forfeiture.
The suspect, identified only as a convicted felon, was lodged pending prosecutor review.
Michigan State Police said the Metro South Post, Canton Police Department and Downriver SWAT assisted in the investigation.
The case remains under investigation.
