KENTUCKY — Kentucky State Police and the Rowan County Coroner’s Office are investigating after a 72-year-old man was found dead inside his mobile home Friday in Clearfield.
According to officials, state police were contacted Friday evening by a resident who was concerned after not seeing or hearing from their cousin for an extended period of time.
Troopers and deputies with the Rowan County Sheriff’s Department conducted a welfare check at the man’s mobile home on McBrayer Road in Clearfield, where they found the resident deceased inside the home.
The Rowan County Coroner’s Office pronounced the man dead at the scene.
Authorities said foul play is not suspected at this time, but the investigation remains ongoing.
The man’s identity had not been released as of Saturday afternoon pending notification of next of kin.
