One person arrested following drug bust in Kentucky

KENTUCKY — A Bowling Green man is facing multiple drug and firearm-related charges following an investigation by Kentucky State Police.

According to KSP Post 3, troopers received information that led investigators to 51-year-old Scotty Deel of Bowling Green. After a preliminary investigation, troopers obtained a search warrant for Deel’s residence in Warren County.

Police said the search uncovered 106 marijuana plants, drug paraphernalia, a digital scale and multiple firearms.

Authorities said Deel was later arrested in Barren County, where troopers allegedly found methamphetamine and a handgun in his possession.

According to the Warren County Regional Jail website, Deel has since been released from custody.

In Warren County, Deel is charged with cultivating marijuana involving five or more plants, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

In Barren County, he faces a charge of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.

Kentucky State Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
