
TEXAS — A Kountze man was killed and two other people were injured in an off-road vehicle crash early Sunday morning in Jasper County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Troopers said the crash happened around 3:21 a.m. on County Road 797 near County Road 800.
Investigators said a Can-Am Maverick was traveling west when the driver lost control while navigating a curve, causing the vehicle to overturn.
Authorities identified the driver as 23-year-old Justin Miller of Kountze. He was pronounced dead at the scene by a justice of the peace.
Two passengers, identified as 22-year-old Marilynn Molander and 23-year-old Kyle McDaniel, were taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, according to DPS.
The crash remains under investigation.
