KENTUCKY — A woman was arrested last week after allegedly attempting to steal motor oil from a Louisville auto parts store, according to police.
Louisville Metro Police said Jessica Vorbrink tried to steal two containers of motor oil from the O’Reilly Auto Parts located at Preston Highway and East Indian Trail.
According to court documents, an employee confronted Vorbrink before she left the store and grabbed her bag, recovering both containers of motor oil.
The employee then contacted police and provided officers with surveillance video of the incident, a photo of the suspect and a license plate number.
Police said officers recognized Vorbrink from prior interactions. Authorities later located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop using Flock camera systems.
Vorbrink was arrested and charged with robbery. Police said a second person inside the vehicle was also taken into custody on outstanding warrants.
Vorbrink appeared in court Monday, May 4, where her bond was set at $25,000. She is scheduled to return to court Tuesday, May 12, for a preliminary hearing.
