VIRGINIA — One person was taken into custody following a standoff Monday afternoon in Roanoke County, according to police.
Roanoke County Police said officers were attempting to serve a warrant in the 500 block of Petty Avenue when the individual involved failed to respond to officers.
Police said the situation led to a standoff, and a SWAT team was called to assist.
Authorities confirmed the person was eventually taken into custody without further incident.
