
GEORGIA — Two people were injured Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Hart County, with one person airlifted to a hospital for treatment, according to the Hart County Sheriff’s Office.
Emergency crews responded shortly after noon on June 8 to the intersection of Adams Town Road and Lankford Road, located northeast of Bowersville. Deputies, Hart County EMS and the Hart County Fire Department were dispatched to the scene.
According to a preliminary investigation, one vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign on Adams Town Road and entered the intersection. The vehicle was then struck by another vehicle traveling on Lankford Road toward Lavonia.
Authorities said one of the drivers was airlifted from the scene for medical treatment. The other driver was transported to a hospital by EMS.
No information about the extent of the victims’ injuries was immediately released.
The crash remains under investigation by the Hart County Sheriff’s Office.
