OHIO — A Cuyahoga County corrections officer has been arrested for allegedly bringing drugs into a correctional facility, according to authorities.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said the investigation involves Cheyanne McClutchen, who was taken into custody on April 22 on a felony warrant out of Lorain County. She was later booked into the Lorain County Sheriff’s Department.
According to court records, McClutchen is charged with illegal conveyance of drugs of abuse onto the grounds of a specified governmental facility and aggravated possession of drugs.
Investigators allege the incident occurred on Nov. 20, 2025, at the Lorain Correctional Institution. Authorities say an inmate received suspected contraband from a visitor during a planned visit.
A spokesperson for Cuyahoga County said McClutchen has been placed on unpaid administrative leave while the case proceeds.
Her bond was set at $10,000, which has since been posted. McClutchen is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday morning.
Officials say the investigation remains ongoing.
