TEXAS — Several Texas public school districts are wrapping up the 2025-26 school year this week, with official calendars and district event pages showing final student days on May 28 or May 29.
Spring Independent School District near Houston lists Friday, May 29, 2026 as “Last Day of School for Students” on the district’s official events calendar.
Corpus Christi Independent School District lists Thursday, May 28, 2026 as the “Last day of School,” followed by a teacher work day on May 29.
Alba-Golden Independent School District in East Texas also lists May 28, 2026 as “Last Day of School” on the district calendar posted to its website.
Harlandale Independent School District in San Antonio announced that Thursday, May 28, 2026, will serve as an early release “Last Day of School” for students districtwide.
The calendars mean students in those Texas districts are beginning summer break by the end of the week, while teachers and staff continue with workdays, graduations and end-of-year activities after classes conclude.
