FLORIDA — Orange County deputies say they have recovered the body of a man who had been reported missing after going fishing earlier this week.
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, the body of 75-year-old Willie Lewis was found following a search at Barnett Park. Lewis had been reported missing after he failed to return home after going fishing on Tuesday.
Deputies responded to Barnett Park around 8:54 a.m. Wednesday after receiving the report. Authorities launched a search effort that included dive crews and a sheriff’s office helicopter.
Officials have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding Lewis’ death. The investigation remains ongoing.
