INDIANA — A 16-year-old Owen County high school student was detained after allegedly making threats against another student, according to the Owen County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said the threats were directed toward a female student at Owen Valley High School in Spencer. Authorities said the suspect is a 16-year-old male student.
During the investigation, officers conducted a search warrant at the student’s vehicle, which was parked on school property. Police said resource officers found drugs, drug paraphernalia and a gun inside the vehicle.
The student was detained for questioning.
The sheriff’s office said there are no ongoing threats or safety concerns involving students at Owen Valley High School.
Spencer is located about 60 miles southwest of Indianapolis.
