Four New York residents arrested for drug trafficking in North Carolina

NORTH CAROLINA — Four men from New York are each being held on $3 million bonds after being arrested on drug trafficking charges in Greenville, according to police.

Authorities identified the men as Joel Figuereo, Steven Furmin, Aaron Garcia and Freudin Rodriguez. Greenville police arrested the four early Thursday morning.

Court warrants state the men were found transporting at least 14 ounces of cocaine.

All four men were charged with two counts of trafficking cocaine. According to the warrants, the charges are classified as Class D felonies and could carry prison sentences ranging from 14.5 years to 18.5 years, along with fines of at least $250,000.

The suspects were booked into the Pitt County Jail and are scheduled to appear before a judge Thursday.
