
PENNSYLVANIA — Thousands of Pennsylvania residents are currently without electricity Friday morning as power outages continue to affect communities across the state.
According to PowerOutage.us, 2,538 customers are without power statewide as of Friday morning. The outages affect approximately 0.04% of the nearly 6.75 million customers tracked across Pennsylvania.
Armstrong County is reporting the largest number of outages, with 1,298 customers currently without power. Delaware County has 240 outages, followed by Chester County with 107, Montgomery County with 90, and Bradford and Luzerne counties with 80 each. Additional outages are being reported in several other counties across the state.
FirstEnergy is reporting the largest utility-related outage, with 1,683 customers without service. PECO Energy Company reports 473 outages, while PPL Electric Utilities has 245 customers without power. Smaller outages are also being reported by several electric cooperatives and local providers.
Armstrong County remains the hardest-hit county in the state, with approximately 3.45% of tracked customers currently without electricity.
Pennsylvania currently ranks sixth in the nation for the total number of power outages and 13th nationwide for the percentage of customers affected, according to PowerOutage.us.
Utility crews are continuing restoration efforts across affected areas. Outage numbers are current as of Friday morning and remain subject to change as repairs are completed and additional outages are reported.
