MISSISSIPPI — A man is dead and another man is in custody following a shooting investigation in Hinds County, according to the Hinds County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a reported shooting on Pinehaven Drive near Kickapoo Road, an area located between the Jackson and Clinton city limits.
When deputies arrived, investigators found a man who had been fatally shot while inside a vehicle.
Authorities said another man who was inside the vehicle was taken into custody as the suspected shooter.
The identities of those involved have not been released pending notification of family members and further investigation.
The Hinds County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No additional information has been released.
