MISSISSIPPI — A 26-year-old Magee man was killed in a fiery two-vehicle crash Monday morning in Simpson County, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
Troopers responded just after 8 a.m. to Highway 49 North near Cox Road.
Investigators said a Dodge Ram cargo vehicle collided with a Freightliner dump truck and caught fire following the crash.
Authorities identified the driver of the Dodge as Taylor McGuire, 26, of Magee. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the dump truck, identified as 42-year-old Joshua Thomas of Florence, was not injured.
The Mississippi Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
