MISSISSIPPI — Four people, including a local school teacher, have been arrested on drug trafficking charges following an investigation by the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics.
Authorities say Susan Collins, 46, of Seminary; Michael Terrell Watts, 40, of Seminary; David Lashon Thornton, 52, of Collins; and Donnis O’Neal Gray, 35, of Collins, are all being held at the Covington County Jail.
According to investigators, Collins is charged with trafficking a controlled substance. Social media posts from earlier in the school year indicate she was a fifth- and sixth-grade math teacher at Rawls Springs Attendance Center.
Gray faces one count of aggravated trafficking of a controlled substance. Watts is charged with trafficking and the sale of a controlled substance, while Thornton is charged with two counts of aggravated trafficking of a controlled substance.
Officials with the Forrest County School District said they are aware of the situation and will fully cooperate with law enforcement as the case moves forward.
All four suspects are awaiting their initial court appearances. Authorities say the investigation is ongoing, and additional details have not yet been released.
