
NORTH CAROLINA — A special law enforcement operation in Scotland County has resulted in four arrests following a months-long narcotics investigation, authorities said.
According to the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office, the Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team executed two search warrants at homes on Phritz Street in Laurinburg and Malloy Avenue in Laurel Hill. The searches followed a seven-month investigation known as “Operation 74 the Hard Way,” according to Narcotics Investigator Lt. E. Haywood Jr.
Haywood said the investigation led to the arrest of four individuals on multiple drug-related charges, with additional charges against others still pending.
Ashanti Janae McNair was charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver cocaine, marijuana, and a Schedule III controlled substance, as well as conspiracy to sell cocaine, marijuana, and a Schedule III substance.
Cedric Rasheen Henderson, 34, faces numerous charges, including felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver cocaine, marijuana, fentanyl, and methamphetamine. He was also charged with conspiracy to sell each of those substances, four counts of maintaining a dwelling for the sale or delivery of controlled substances, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Brianna Renee Hannan, 27, and Brianna Renee Rruppasond, 27, were each charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell, or deliver cocaine, marijuana, fentanyl, and methamphetamine. Both were also charged with conspiracy to sell those substances, four counts of maintaining a dwelling for the sale or delivery of controlled substances, and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.
The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities said additional arrests or charges may be forthcoming.
