$50,000 lottery ticket winner sold in Ohio

OHIO — A Toledo man is planning a vacation after winning a $50,000 prize playing an Ohio Lottery EZPLAY® game.

The winning ticket was purchased at Bottom Line, located at 2053 Starr Ave. in Toledo.

According to the Ohio Lottery, the man played the EZPLAY® game OH Keno and matched all 10 numbers to win the game’s $50,000 top prize.

The winning ticket cost $5. After 26.75% in federal and state taxes, the winner will receive approximately $36,625.

OH Keno is one of the Ohio Lottery’s EZPLAY® games, which are instant play-style games generated through lottery terminals. The game has overall odds of winning of 1 in 3.53.

The winner said he plans to celebrate by taking a vacation.

Since 1974, the Ohio Lottery says it has contributed more than $34 billion to education across the state.
