SOUTH CAROLINA — A woman barricaded herself inside a home in Piedmont after deputies responded to an assault call late Friday night, according to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said deputies were dispatched to a residence on Charterhouse Avenue around 11:30 p.m. following reports of an assault involving two individuals.
When deputies arrived and conducted an initial investigation, the suspect at the scene went inside the home and barricaded herself.
Officials have not released details about the people involved in the reported assault or whether anyone was injured.
As of Saturday morning, there was no information available regarding charges or arrests. The situation remains under investigation.
