
GEORGIA — A man wanted on a kidnapping warrant in Alabama was arrested Saturday in Bleckley County, according to the Bleckley County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said deputies arrested 18-year-old Brian Lucious Jr., who was wanted by authorities in Baldwin County, Alabama.
Sheriff Daniel Cape said Lucious had traveled from Alabama to Bleckley County to be with his girlfriend and had been staying with her family. According to Cape, the girlfriend’s parents later told Lucious he could no longer stay at the residence.
The sheriff said Lucious then contacted the sheriff’s office to report that he had been kicked out of the home. While deputies were investigating the call, they discovered Lucious was wanted on an outstanding kidnapping warrant from Alabama.
Lucious was taken into custody without incident and is currently being held while awaiting extradition to Baldwin County, Alabama, authorities said.
The Bleckley County Sheriff’s Office said deputies’ investigation into the situation led to the discovery of the warrant and subsequent arrest.
Details regarding the kidnapping case in Alabama have not been released. Authorities in Baldwin County have not provided additional information about the allegations.
The case remains under investigation.
