
ALABAMA — Two people were injured following a stabbing in Madison County, according to authorities.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division responded to the 300 block of Shady Lane after receiving a report of a stabbing. When deputies arrived, they determined that 47-year-old Emanual Samual and 44-year-old Latisha Samual had been involved in an altercation that led to the incident.
Authorities said Emanual Samual suffered a puncture wound to his left bicep along with cuts to his hand. Latisha Samual also sustained cuts to her hand. Officials described both individuals’ injuries as non-life-threatening.
Emergency medical personnel with HEMSI evaluated both at the scene before transporting them to a hospital for further treatment. After receiving medical care, both were taken into custody.
Officials said each was charged with second-degree assault and issued a $2,500 bond.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office said the investigation remains ongoing.
