Two people injured following shooting incident on I-94 in Michigan

MICHIGAN — Two people were injured in a shooting on Interstate 94 in Detroit early Tuesday morning, according to Michigan State Police.

Troopers responded to reports of a shooting on westbound I-94 near Dickerson Street shortly before 1 a.m. on June 9. When officers arrived, they found two people suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities have not released information about the extent of their injuries.

Michigan State Police said investigators are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting. No suspect information has been released, and no arrests have been announced.

Westbound I-94 was temporarily closed while troopers investigated the scene, but the freeway has since reopened to traffic.
