
ARIZONA — Two motorcyclists were critically injured after crashing into each other late Friday night northwest of the Phoenix area, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded shortly after 11 p.m. to the intersection of 215th Avenue and Patton Road following reports of a collision involving two motorcycles. Authorities said a man and a minor, both riding separate bikes, collided at the intersection.
Both riders suffered life-threatening injuries and were airlifted to nearby hospitals for treatment. Officials said one of the victims is not expected to survive, though it was not specified which rider.
Investigators have not yet determined what caused the crash and are continuing to examine the circumstances leading up to the collision.
The incident remains under investigation.
