OHIO — Two people suffered serious injuries after a vehicle overturned in Logan County on Sunday morning, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers were called to the crash on State Route 117 at approximately 8:17 a.m.
Investigators said a 66-year-old woman driving a Honda Odyssey began to fall asleep behind the wheel, causing the vehicle to travel off the right side of the roadway. The minivan then struck an embankment and overturned.
Firefighters responded to the scene and worked to free the driver from the wreckage.
The driver and her husband were both seriously injured in the crash and were flown to a hospital for treatment.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol said drugs and alcohol are not suspected factors in the crash.
