MICHIGAN — Two people were found dead Wednesday morning at a home between Fennville and Pullman, according to the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called to the residence on 56th Street near 113th Avenue for a welfare check around 11:30 a.m. Authorities said deputies forced entry into the home after spotting a boy lying unconscious on a bed.
Inside, deputies also found an adult woman dead. Investigators believe the child was the woman’s son, and the two were the only known occupants of the home.
The sheriff’s office said investigators are working to determine whether the deaths are the result of a double homicide or a murder-suicide.
Officials have not released the identities of the victims or the cause of death. The investigation remains ongoing.
