SOUTH CAROLINA — Two people were killed and four others were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Lancaster County on Wednesday night, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The crash happened around 7:40 p.m. at the intersection of Rock Hill Highway and West Rebound Road.
Troopers said a 2001 Ford F-350 pickup truck was traveling west on Rock Hill Highway while a 2017 Audi was traveling south on West Rebound Road when the two vehicles collided at the intersection.
Investigators said the pickup overturned onto the left side of the roadway, while the Audi went off the right side of the road and struck a guard rail.
The driver of the pickup and a left rear passenger were taken to Atrium Health for treatment. Two other passengers in the truck died from their injuries, according to troopers.
The driver and passenger in the Audi were transported to Piedmont Health with injuries.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
