
ILLINOIS — Two men were shot to death while driving Thursday evening in Chicago’s Garfield Park neighborhood, according to police.
The shooting happened just before 8:30 p.m. in the 200 block of North Homan Avenue on the city’s West Side, police said.
Authorities said the victims, ages 38 and 18, were traveling southbound in a white sedan when a gray SUV pulled alongside them. A male suspect inside the SUV allegedly pulled out a gun and opened fire.
The 38-year-old man was shot in the arm and taken to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The 18-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the body and was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was also pronounced dead.
No other injuries were reported.
Area Four detectives are investigating the shooting. Police have not released additional information about the suspect or possible motive.
