WISCONSIN — A months-long investigation into illegal drug activity in Richland County has resulted in the arrest of two local residents, according to Chief Billy Jones of the Richland Center Police Department.

On April 10, 2025, members of the Richland-Iowa-Grant Drug Task Force (RIG DTF), along with the Richland Center Police Department, Richland County Sheriff’s Department, and the United States Postal Inspection Service, executed a search warrant at a residence in northern Richland County.

The investigation focused on Joshua Clark, 42, who authorities say was purchasing illegal substances online and having them shipped to his home.

The substances included Dimethyltryptamine (DMT), a Schedule I drug, and Ketamine, a Schedule III drug.

The search also uncovered methamphetamine, LSD, other Schedule II narcotics, and drug paraphernalia. Many of the drugs were reportedly found in vape cartridges and other common items.

As a result of the investigation, Joshua Clark was arrested and faces multiple charges, including Delivery of Ketamine, Delivery of DMT, Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Possession of LSD, Maintaining a Drug Dwelling, Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Abigail Anderson, 32, also of rural Richland County, was arrested and charged with Possession of Ketamine, Maintaining a Drug Dwelling, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Chief Jones emphasized the importance of public awareness, noting, “While the drugs involved in this case aren’t as commonly known to most individuals, it is important to know that the substances involved in this case were contained in common devices such as vape cartridges. Our community needs to remain vigilant in drug awareness as many of these drugs could be hidden in items we see and use every day.”

The Richland-Iowa-Grant Drug Task Force is a tri-county unit dedicated to investigating and combating drug trafficking in the region.

Anyone with information about drug activity is encouraged to contact Richland County Crime Stoppers at 647-CLUE (2583). Callers may remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.
