Two people arrested after police seize more than $900,000 worth of counterfeit designer merchandise in Georgia

GEORGIA — Police in Georgia say investigators seized more than $900,000 worth of counterfeit designer merchandise and arrested two women following an investigation into the sale of fake luxury goods.

According to the Gwinnett County Police Department, the investigation began after officers received a complaint about counterfeit designer items being sold through internet listings and face-to-face transactions.

Investigators identified Quentessa Gordon and Tameka Gordon as suspects and obtained a search warrant for a Lawrenceville home connected to the case.

When officers executed the warrant on May 13, police said they found a large quantity of counterfeit designer merchandise inside the home and in a vehicle tied to the investigation.

Authorities also recovered about 60 grams of marijuana and a firearm during the search.

Police released information about the case on Thursday.

Tameka Gordon was charged with felony counts of selling goods with forged or counterfeit trademarks or copyrighted designs, possession of more than 1 ounce of marijuana, and possession of a firearm during the commission of certain felonies, along with multiple traffic-related charges.
