NORTH CAROLINA — Two people were arrested after a traffic stop involving a food truck in Lexington led to the discovery of methamphetamine and cocaine, according to the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives with the sheriff’s office T.R.A.C.E. Team said the traffic stop happened May 20 in the area of Hill Road and Wedgewood Drive.
During the investigation, deputies said they found the driver in possession of methamphetamine, cocaine and drug paraphernalia. The passenger was also found with methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, according to authorities.
The driver, identified as 29-year-old Jeremy Ray Davis of Denton, was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The passenger, identified as 36-year-old Kimberly Natasha Ensley of Lexington, was charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Authorities said Ensley was placed in the Davidson County Jail. Both suspects are scheduled to appear in Davidson County Court.
The investigation remains ongoing.
