
PENNSYLVANIA — Two construction workers were killed and two other people were injured after a four-vehicle crash involving a tractor-trailer in a Route 30 work zone Monday evening, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
Troopers said the crash happened around 6:50 p.m. on Route 30 east near mile marker 270.3 in Valley Township.
Authorities said construction workers were setting up a traffic pattern in an established work zone when a tractor-trailer caused a four-vehicle crash.
According to state police, the crash ultimately struck the two workers, who were pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other people involved in the crash were taken to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, troopers said.
Police have not released the identities of the victims or additional details about what led to the wreck.
