
TEXAS — More than 6,300 customers across Texas are without electricity as of Tuesday morning, according to data from PowerOutage.us.
The outage tracking website reported 6,342 customers without power statewide out of more than 15.3 million customers being monitored. Texas currently ranks third in the nation for the total number of outages.
Ector County reported the highest number of outages with 1,208 customers affected, followed by Harris County with 963 outages and Tarrant County with 507. Other counties with significant outages included Midland County with 451 customers affected and Eastland County with 404.
Among utility providers, Oncor reported the largest number of outages with 3,430 customers without service. CenterPoint Energy reported 1,343 outages, while CPS Energy reported 222 customers without electricity.
PowerOutage.us said Rio Grande Electric Cooperative had the highest percentage of customers affected statewide, with about 2.47% of its customers without power Tuesday morning.
Utility crews continue working to restore service across the state.
