
PENNSYLVANIA — More than 53,000 homes and businesses across Pennsylvania are currently without electricity Sunday morning, according to the latest data from PowerOutage.us.
As of the latest update, 53,628 customers statewide are experiencing power outages, representing about 0.79% of the more than 6.7 million customers tracked across the Commonwealth.
Pennsylvania currently has the highest number of power outages in the nation and ranks first for the percentage of customers affected.
Fayette County is reporting the largest outage total in the state, with 19,255 customers currently without power. The county is also the hardest-hit by percentage, with about 27% of tracked customers affected.
Washington County is reporting 11,820 outages, while Westmoreland County has 3,721 customers without electricity. Other counties reporting significant outages include Luzerne County with 1,808 outages, Northampton County with 1,445, Greene County with 1,384, Dauphin County with 1,227 and Lancaster County with 1,147.
Among utility providers, FirstEnergy is reporting the largest number of outages, with 42,833 customers currently without service. PPL Electric Utilities has 9,047 customers without power, while PECO Energy Company reports 1,045 outages. UGI Utilities is reporting 646 customers without electricity.
Utility crews continue working to restore service across affected areas, though restoration times vary by location.
Outage numbers are subject to change as utilities continue repairs and update their reports throughout the day.
