
PENNSYLVANIA — More than 5,400 customers across Pennsylvania are without electricity Saturday morning, according to PowerOutage.us.
As of the latest update, 5,437 homes and businesses statewide are currently without power, affecting about 0.08% of the more than 6.7 million customers tracked across Pennsylvania.
Pennsylvania currently has the fifth-highest number of power outages in the country, according to the outage tracking website.
Northampton County is reporting the largest number of outages in the state, with 2,083 customers currently without electricity. Clinton County follows with 972 outages, while Philadelphia County reports 594 customers without power. Westmoreland County has 410 outages, and Cambria County reports 310.
Among utility providers, PPL Electric Utilities reports the highest number of outages, with 2,286 customers affected. FirstEnergy reports 1,348 outages, while Tri-County Rural Electric Coop reports 956 customers without power. PECO Energy Company reports 782 outages statewide.
PowerOutage.us said the outage figures were updated within the last several minutes Saturday morning and may continue to change as restoration work continues.
Officials have not released a statewide cause for the outages.
