
PENNSYLVANIA — More than 2,000 homes and businesses across Pennsylvania are without electricity as of Saturday morning, according to data from PowerOutage.us.
The outages total 2,093 customers statewide, representing about 0.03% of the more than 6.76 million customers tracked. Pennsylvania ranks eighth in the nation for the total number of outages and 15th for the percentage of customers affected.
Luzerne County has the highest number of outages, with 1,124 customers without power. Erie County reports 254 outages, followed by Tioga County with 244. Other counties with smaller numbers of outages include Westmoreland and Schuylkill, each with 98 customers affected.
Among utility providers, PPL Electric Utilities reports the most outages, with 1,288 customers without power. FirstEnergy reports 438 outages, while Tri-County Rural Electric Cooperative has 244 and the highest percentage of customers affected at about 1.26%.
Utility crews are working to restore power as quickly as possible across affected areas.
