
OHIO — More than 2,400 customers across Ohio are without electricity Friday morning, according to PowerOutage.us.
The outage tracking service reported 2,472 homes and businesses currently without power statewide. The outages affect about 0.05% of the more than 5.4 million customers tracked across Ohio.
Cuyahoga County has the highest number of outages in the state, with 1,664 customers without electricity. Summit County reports 218 outages, while Montgomery County has 133. Wayne County is reporting 125 outages, and Franklin County has 60 customers without power.
Among utility providers, Cleveland Public Power reports the largest number of outages statewide with 1,370 customers affected. FirstEnergy reports 767 outages, while AES Ohio has 150 customers without electricity.
PowerOutage.us said Ohio currently ranks eighth in the nation for the number of active outages and 12th nationwide for the percentage of customers affected.
Utility crews continue restoration efforts across the state Friday morning.
