
MARYLAND — Thousands of homes and businesses are currently without electricity across Maryland Tuesday morning, according to the latest data from PowerOutage.us.
As of the most recent update, approximately 2,885 customers are without power statewide, representing about 0.11% of the more than 2.6 million customers tracked.
Somerset County is the hardest hit, with more than 2,300 customers without service, accounting for over a quarter of customers in that county. Other areas reporting outages include Baltimore County, Worcester County and St. Mary’s County, though at significantly lower levels.
Among utility providers, Delmarva Power is reporting the largest number of outages, with more than 2,300 customers affected. Baltimore Gas and Electric, Pepco and FirstEnergy are also reporting smaller numbers of outages.
Maryland currently ranks among the top states nationwide for outage percentage, though the overall number of affected customers remains relatively small.
Restoration efforts are ongoing across the state.
