LOUISIANA — More than 10,000 customers across Louisiana are without electricity Saturday morning, according to PowerOutage.us.
As of the latest update, 10,972 homes and businesses statewide are currently without power. The outages affect about 0.47% of the more than 2.3 million customers tracked across Louisiana.
Louisiana currently has the second-highest number of power outages in the country, behind Mississippi, according to the outage tracking website.
Entergy reports the largest number of outages among utility providers, with thousands of customers affected across its service areas. Officials have not released a statewide cause for the outages.
PowerOutage.us said the numbers were updated within the last several minutes Saturday morning and could continue to change as crews work to restore service.
Utility crews are continuing restoration efforts across impacted areas.
