
FLORIDA — More than 3,200 customers across Florida are without electricity Thursday morning, according to PowerOutage.us.
As of the latest update, 3,286 customers statewide are currently without power out of more than 11.7 million tracked customers in Florida.
Miami-Dade County is reporting the highest number of outages in the state, with 809 customers without electricity. Clay County has 667 outages, while Palm Beach County reported 490 customers without power.
Other counties with notable outages include Broward County with 310 outages, Lee County with 212 outages, Sarasota County with 144 outages, Escambia County with 133 outages and Charlotte County with 110 outages.
Florida Power & Light Company reported the highest number of outages among utilities statewide, with 2,260 customers currently without service. Clay Electric Coop reported 675 outages, while Lee County Electric Coop listed 136 customers without power.
PowerOutage.us said Florida currently ranks fifth in the nation for the total number of outages and 20th nationwide for the percentage of customers affected.
Utility crews continue restoration efforts Thursday morning across the state.
