OHIO — Police are responding to an active barricade situation involving a domestic violence suspect in Cleveland on Friday morning.
According to the Cleveland Division of Police, the suspect is barricaded inside a home in the 4300 block of Woburn Avenue and is refusing to come outside.
Authorities are asking the public to avoid the area until further notice as officers work to resolve the situation.
“At this time, investigators believe the suspect is alone inside the home and may be armed,” police said in a press release.
The Cleveland Police Crisis Negotiation Team, SWAT officers and additional police resources remain at the scene.
The situation remains ongoing, and no additional information has been released.
