
NORTH CAROLINA — A South Carolina man is facing multiple drug charges following an arrest Thursday in Wilmington, according to police.
The Wilmington Police Department said Nathaniel Harris, 22, of Clover, was arrested May 7 after officers responded around 9:50 a.m. to the 1500 block of South 11th Street for reports of a fight.
Police said officers found Harris inside a vehicle with drug paraphernalia. After searching the vehicle, investigators said they located a small safe containing narcotics.
Harris is charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule IV controlled substance, felony possession of cocaine, felony possession of a Schedule II controlled substance, felony possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance, felony maintaining a vehicle for keeping or selling controlled substances, misdemeanor possession of a Schedule III controlled substance, misdemeanor possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Authorities said Harris is being held at the New Hanover County Detention Center under a $35,000 secured bond.
Police said the investigation remains ongoing.
