OHIO — A second child has died from injuries sustained in a crash involving a stolen vehicle over the weekend in Cleveland, according to officials.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner said 13-year-old Jayden Allen died June 9 at a hospital from injuries suffered in the crash.

Allen was one of two juveniles injured in the wreck. A 12-year-old boy, previously identified as Aydin Taylor, also died from his injuries.

According to the Cleveland Division of Police, the crash happened around 4 a.m. Sunday near East 146th Street and Johnston Parkway.

Investigators said the vehicle had been reported stolen from Garfield Heights and was traveling at a high rate of speed when it left the roadway, struck a utility pole and then crashed into a tree.

First responders found both boys trapped inside the wreckage and transported them to a hospital for treatment. Authorities said a firearm was also recovered from the vehicle.

The crash remains under investigation.
