GEORGIA — Opelika police are searching for two suspects accused of working together to steal more than $1,800 worth of merchandise from a beauty supply store.
According to investigators, the theft happened March 28 around 3 p.m. at the CosmoProf store on Pepperell Parkway.
Police said a man entered the business and asked an employee for assistance. While the employee was distracted helping him, investigators believe a woman entered the store, went behind the front counter and stole high-value hair trimmers.
Authorities described the man as wearing a purple Los Angeles Lakers jersey, black shorts and purple sneakers. The woman was last seen wearing a blue sweatsuit and sandals.
Investigators released surveillance images of the pair and said they believe the suspects worked together during the theft.
