
MARYLAND — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man accused of posing as a Walmart employee during a theft at a store in Aberdeen.
According to the Aberdeen Police Department, the incident occurred on June 7 when an unknown man entered a Walmart store and allegedly pretended to be an employee. Investigators said the man made his way to the customer service area and went behind the service desk.
Police said the suspect then took lost credit cards that had been turned in and stored in the store’s lost and found.
After the theft, the man reportedly left the area in a black pickup truck with an unknown license plate.
Authorities described the suspect as a Black man with a short haircut and a beard. He was reportedly wearing an all-black outfit and a blue Walmart vest at the time of the incident.
Police are asking anyone who recognizes the man or has information about the case to contact Officer A. Cross at 410-272-2121, ext. 124.
The investigation remains ongoing.
