SOUTH CAROLINA — Sumter Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 45-year-old woman who was reported missing after failing to return to her residential care facility Monday night.
According to the Sumter Police Department, Shayla Barkley, of Edwards Street, was last seen walking along North Main Street in Sumter. She was reported missing on June 8 after she did not return to her facility by her 10 p.m. curfew.
Police said Barkley is 5 feet 4 inches tall, weighs approximately 130 pounds and has dark-colored hair. She was last seen wearing a white tank top and black leggings.
Authorities are urging anyone who sees Barkley or has information about her whereabouts to contact the Sumter Police Department at 803-436-2700. In an emergency, call 911.
The search remains ongoing.
