OKLAHOMA — The Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating an 81-year-old woman who was reported missing Tuesday.
According to authorities, Glenda Sue Hazlit was reported missing after deputies conducted a welfare check at her home around 3 p.m. Tuesday. Deputies found the residence unsecured and Hazlit was not there.
Investigators said all of Hazlit’s belongings were still inside the home, which is located about three miles north of Gaar Corner.
The sheriff’s office said Hazlit’s whereabouts are currently unknown and that the case is being treated as an active missing person investigation because of what officials described as “unusual circumstances.”
Authorities are asking anyone who may have seen Hazlit or observed suspicious activity in the area to contact the Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Office at 580-332-4169 or the county dispatcher at 580-332-4466.
The search remains ongoing.
