VIRGINIA — A critically missing adult alert has been issued for a 43-year-old man from Newport News, according to Virginia State Police.
Police said the alert was issued on behalf of the Newport News Police Department for Alex Scott Neely.
Authorities described Neely as 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 215 pounds, with blue eyes and brown hair.
Investigators said he was last seen around 9 a.m. Monday at his girlfriend’s home on South Riverside Drive in Lanexa. Police said he may have been wearing a black T-shirt, black swim trunks, no shoes and a brown camouflage hat while carrying a bag of clothes.
According to authorities, Neely may be driving a silver 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 with Virginia license plate TZP-4033.
Police said his disappearance poses a credible threat to his health and safety.
