ALABAMA — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Blount County man who was last seen over the weekend.

According to the Blount County Sheriff’s Office and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), 28-year-old Atom Eli was reported missing on Sunday, May 3, in the area of County Highway 29 in Oneonta.

Eli is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing approximately 180 pounds, with sandy-colored hair and hazel eyes. Officials did not release information about what he was last seen wearing but noted that he may be living with a condition that could impair his judgment.

Authorities said Eli has several tattoos, including letters on his right arm and an eyeball design on his left arm. He also has tattoos on both hands and fingers, though those designs are unknown.

ALEA officials said Eli is believed to drive a maroon 2012 Hyundai Sonata, but it is unclear whether he was in the vehicle at the time he went missing.

Anyone with information about Eli’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Blount County Sheriff’s Office at (205) 625-4127 or call 911.

All information should be reported to law enforcement immediately.
