Police searching for missing 93-year-old in North Carolina

NORTH CAROLINA — A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing 93-year-old man from Gaston County, according to the North Carolina Center for Missing Persons.

Authorities said Walter Parker was reported missing Wednesday after he was last seen in the town of Stanley. Officials believe Parker may be suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s disease.

Parker is described as a Black man who is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue striped shirt, dark cargo pants and blue shoes.

Police said Parker left the 2900 block of Dallas Stanley Highway driving a 2007 Nissan Frontier with North Carolina license plate FKL1006.
