
VIRGINIA — A 27-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving a sedan late Wednesday night in Prince George County, according to police.
Officers with the Prince George County Police Department and Prince George County Fire and EMS responded around 11 p.m. to the intersection of Jefferson Park Road and Owens Way for a crash involving a motorcycle and a sedan.
Police said a preliminary investigation found that a 2016 Kawasaki motorcycle collided with a 2017 Genesis sedan in the intersection.
The motorcyclist, identified as Joseph Skinner, 27, of Hopewell, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Genesis suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Southside Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities said the Prince George County Police Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash to determine all contributing factors.
